Project: University of Manchester – Pharmacy Relocation

Client: University of Manchester

Value: £10.0m

Contract: Traditional

Duration: 52 weeks

This project involved the refurbishment of several floors of the Stopford Building at the University of Manchester to allow for the relocation of the School of Pharmacy.

Also included in the works was the creation of a new two-storey extension to the courtyard area and a new roof top plant room and all laboratory facilities were built to CAT 2 standard.

As the building remained occupied through the duration of the works, minimising noise and disruption to the occupants was of key importance and regular meetings were held with the client to ensure communication was free flowing.

Adrian Robinson, Project Manager, University of Manchester said: “Your customer service team has been excellent in providing us with consistent communication and updates on all aspects of the final stages of closing out the project at the Stopford Building. Having this level of customer service must become the normal offer from all of the contractors we work with. Well done keep the hard work up.”
