Since opening its doors in September 2007, the 13,000 students and 800 staff of York College have been enjoying the new state-of-the-art facilities. This ambitious project was designed to consolidate the existing college into a 29,000m² purpose-built, four-storey building. At the heart of the building is a full width, striking atrium that is accessible from all floors.

The building also has a theatre, training restaurant, hair and beauty spa, a 3G sports pitch, engineering and construction workshops, art and design studios, a nursery, a learning centre spanning across three floors and flexible classrooms which can be adjusted to suit the needs of the users.
