Funded through the NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT), the £13 million Mount Vernon Treatment Centre signified the final completion of a number of construction contracts undertaken by Balfour Beatty, for client Brent, Harrow and Hillingdon LIFT Company.

The project included the construction of four operating theatres and twenty four large consulting rooms housed within the new centre that were designed to replace outdated treatment facilities. Other features include touch screen consoles, ceiling suspended equipment and sound proof rooms for testing hearing aids. The building is used predominantly for orthopaedics, urology and other general medicine.
