As part of a new proposed retail development in Sheffield, Hammerson UK required the relocation of the Wellington Street Fire Service HQ and Fire Station to a new location on Eyre Street.

The new facilities provide a part three and part four-storey headquarters building and fire station in an “L-shaped” configuration, training tower building and a training and service yard. The fire appliance bay includes a canopy over and a fire appliance wash bay to the rear. The new buildings are provided with full building service installations including sprinklers and fixed furniture with loose furniture being provided separately by the fire service.

The building also includes open plan and cellular offices, kitchen and café area, a social room, fitness suite and night room.
