Barnet Homes (Arms Length Management Organisation) was created by Barnet Council to manage and improve its council homes and estates.

The works involved were to improve the housing to the government’s ‘Decent Homes Standards’ and involved the design and specification of roof works, window replacement, kitchens, bathrooms, central heating and re-wiring. We have also carried out external repairs and environmental improvement works.

As part of the framework we have carried out improvement works to both Burnt Oak Broadway residential blocks and the Graham Park Estate. In addition to the works we have carried out on street properties and blocks we have assisted the client to prioritise key works. Balfour Beatty have also been very active in increasing the use of local labour in its work for Barnet.

In the first 3 years of the 5 year framework we have been able to work closely with the client to deliver value and quality.
